Meet the 3rd Grade Teachers

Meet the Third Grade Teachers

Miss Doorenbos
Hello! My name is Molly Doorenbos and I am very excited to start teaching 3rd grade at Lincoln Elementary this year! This will be my 5th year of teaching; I spent my first four years of teaching in a 3rd, 4th, and 5th multi-grade classroom in a small Christian school in my home town of Grinnell, IA. My dad is a doctor and my mom is a stay-at-home mom. My older sister lives in Washington DC. My older brother lives in California, with his wife and 17 year old and 2 ½  year daughters and my younger brother lives in Minnesota. When I am not traveling the world (ahem… Wales, Canada, France, Africa… ahem), visiting the National Parks, the most recent being the Grand Tetons in Wyoming and Voyageurs National Park of Minnesota, or spending time with my 2 ½ year old niece in California, I enjoy being outside, reading, watching movies and napping. I am looking forward to meeting everyone and having a fun, educational school year!

Mrs. Hinson
Hi! My name is Misty Hinson. I am beginning my 6th year of teaching and coaching 8th grade girls track in the Washington Community Schools. I received my bachelor’s degree from The University of Northern Iowa and my master’s degree from Viterbo University.
My husband Brent and I have been married 16 years and have two children. Victoria is 13 and beginning 8th grade where she runs cross country, track, plays the saxophone in band and is on swim team. Ryan is 10 and in 5th grade where he will play his first year of tackle football, begin band and is on swim team. In my spare time between activities, I enjoy reading, hiking in nature and riding my bike.

I look forward to a great year in 3rd grade!

Mrs. Rausch
Hi!  My name is Monique Rausch. I am entering my 11th year of teaching in the Washington Community Schools.  I received my bachelor's degree from Pittsburg State University and my master's degree from Viterbo University.

My husband Jason and I have been married 26 years and have 3 children. TJ is 24, Ashley is 22 and Cale is 19.  In my spare time I love to read and attend my children's events.  My favorite activity is having a meal in which all of my family members are seated at the same table. I am excited for the school year to start.  There are many great things happening at Lincoln!

Mrs. Gracey
Hello! My name is Mackenzie Gracey and I am so excited to be teaching third grade this year at Lincoln! I was born and raised in Washington and I have a lot of #washpride. I graduated from UNI in 2013 with my degree in theater and then again this past May with my degree in elementary education. I live in Washington with my husband, Tyler and our dog, Tucker. I am so happy to be back in my hometown and to be teaching in a district that is so close to my heart! We’re going to have a great year in third grade! J
